Jiri MARKS obtained a “ing.” degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Enschede (Netherlands) and a “Dipl.-Ing. (FH)” degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Osnabrueck (Germany) in 2000.
In 2001 he joined GKN Driveline, starting as a trainee for the first 2 years, working at different locations in Germany and France. In 2003, he started at the GKN Driveline Research and Product Development Centre in Lohmar as a Product Development Engineer. Within the Advanced Product Development group he worked mainly on projects related to Torque Vectoring, both in product development, focusing on gear design and efficiency, as well as being responsible for engineering the complete product. In 2007 his focus changed to eDrive products, working as a Programme Engineering Manager on one of the first eAxles with disconnect in Europe, which is currently in series production. Following this, he managed partly the development of the “world’s first two-speed eAxle for hybrids and EVs” developed for a major German OEM. Jiri continues to manage the development of GKN eDrive products with various OEM applications.
